DSCVR Partnership: Tala Bashmi will showcase her culinary skills for the first time in the UAE’s capital on Saturday, 28 January.
The Abu Dhabi EDITION will host a culinary event this month featuring Tala Bashmi, MENA’s Best Female Chef 2022.
Chef Tala will partner with Oak Room, The Abu Dhabi EDITION’s British Rock ‘N’ Roll Steakhouse, to serve a specially curated Signature Sessions menu on Saturday, 28 January.
Bashmi, a native of Bahrain, honed her culinary skills by exploring the island’s souks in search of the best local ingredients. She made a name for herself by competing in Top Chef Middle East before launching her restaurant, Fusions by Tala, in 2017. The venue has since become one of the most highly-regarded restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa region. In December 2021, she was named the first Middle East & North Africa’s Best Female Chef.
Offering a modern take on traditional, regional dishes, guests at The Abu Dhabi EDITION will enjoy a menu that celebrates the best of the Oak Room and Chef Tala’s restaurant, Fusions by Tala, alongside a superb grape pairing from Oak Room’s own Sommelier’s selection. Starting from AED 500 per person, take advantage of this opportunity to meet Chef Tala as she showcases her culinary skills for the first time in Abu Dhabi.
Before dinner, guests can visit The Library Bar, where Sidecar – currently ranked number one on the 30 Best Bars India and no 26 on the World’s 50 Best Bars – from India will be concocting some of their famous mixed drinks.
The event forms part of the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants celebration, with this year’s winners set to be revealed during a glamorous ceremony in the capital on Monday, 30 January.
