The UAE’s highest afternoon tea isn’t in Dubai

1484 by Puro has launched a new culinary experience atop Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah.

As a city, we love an afternoon tea with a side of gimmickry – we’ve dined on floating tables, deep in the sand dunes, and alongside 65,000 marine animals. But with the type of panoramic views offered by 1484 by Puro, who needs a gimmick? Taking the midday tradition to new heights, the restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah has launched the UAE’s highest afternoon tea, inviting diners to unwind over a refreshing cup of tea and a lavish spread of pastries and sandwiches while soaking up the stunning Hajar Mountain views.

Bringing much-needed moments of stillness to your day, the brand-new experience is designed to equally delight all the senses, with each sip and bite crafted to complement the scenic setting. Featuring an array of savoury bites (cucumber and cream cheese, egg salad, crab salad, and smoked salmon sandwiches included), the new offering comes complete with freshly baked scones, plain and raisin, served warm with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. The experience ends with a range of gourmet petit fours with a chef’s selection of pastries and cakes, all perfectly paired with a fine assortment of tea and coffee.
